Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has built a TV empire. He began with the Power Universe, expanding outward into dramas like For Life. Now, the rapper/actor/producer has finally brought his passion project to the big screen. 50 Cent has wanted to tell the story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory for some time. And with BMF, he has finally done so.

However, some former associates of the Flenorys are claiming that 50 Cent got the rights to do the show because of a snitch.

‘BMF’ tells the real-life story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory

Set in the ’80s in Detroit, BMF tells the real-life story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. The Flenorys came from a working-class family and began selling $50 bags of cocaine when they were teens.

They eventually built their BMF (Black Mafia Family) empire amid the crack cocaine epidemic, expanding into the music business when hip-hop began to flourish, becoming two of the biggest narcotics traffickers in the country.

In the series, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. portrays his father while All American alum, Da’Vinchi portrays Southwest T. However, not everyone is thrilled with the 50 Cent executive produced series.

A former BMF artist claims 50 Cent got the rights to do the story from a snitch

Former BMF artist Bleu DaVinci and music executive Wack 100 are claiming that 50 Cent only got the rights to Big Meech’s life story because he worked with an informant. The men shared court documents on social media that referred to an informant named CS1. Apparently, CS1 was a long-time friend of Big Meech. The person later worked with the DEA to turn witness against Big Meech. “If yall was wondering how 50 Cent got Meech life rights, here read for yourself,” DaVinci captioned the post. “From the informant CS1.”

The paperwork also says that CS1 holds the “life rights with creative control” to sell Big Meech’s story for profit. Wack 100 shared the paperwork on Instagram.

“Hey @bleudavinci is this the pages you told me I missed ?” he asked in the caption via HotNewHipHop. “Now this is getting interesting – How many #CS1 are they my n**** ? And why would a CS1 have the life rights ? Is this the female you told me about? See @bleudavinci story. Wtf is going on ?”

50 Cent has yet to respond to the allegations, but we do know that he and BMF creator Randy Huggins worked with the Flenory family including Big Meech and Southwest T to bring the story to life.

Bleu Davinci has issued a warning to 50 Cent over ‘BMF’

In addition to accusing 50 Cent of using a snitch to get the rights to the Flenorys’ story, Davinci also warned the executive producer about the series.

DaVinci was jailed for five years due to his association with BMF. He is now warning anyone associated with the TV show about any future depictions of him. “The only thing I’m saying is that if they handle my name wrong, I’m coming to see you,” he said via HotNewHipHop. “The writers, the producers, the directors, the executive producers, y’all play with my name — I’m telling y’all right now. Y’all play with my name, it’s up. Period.”

He has promised to destroy the show should he be depicted in an unfavorable light. “There won’t be no more shooting. No more filming that sh*t. I’m gonna try to find a way to f*ck up everything about it if you play with your name,” he continued. “Soon as I get the first report, ‘Aye, bro, they playin’ with your name.’ I’m coming. Just already know. So have your security beefed up
