He's the Hollywood heavyweight, who spends a lot of time working in Los Angeles. 

But Chris Hemsworth's heart will always be in Australia, with the 34-year-old paying homage to Byron Bay on Monday.

The Australian heartthrob was spotted wearing a black and white Byron Bay trucker hat as he arrived at LAX Airport this week.

The actor cut a very relaxed figure, wearing a simple brown t-shirt, black shorts and brown shoes

He accessorised with a pair of aviator sunglasses, surfer-style bracelets and a black-banded wrist watch.

Emery Surfboards is a surfboard shop from his hometown of Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia.  

Chris, his wife Elsa Pataky and their young family moved to the far north coast beachside town three years ago, where they currently reside in a $7million mansion.

And while Elsa said it was always going to be a big move, she's glad that they made the transition.

The 40-year-old previously told The Daily Telegraph, that Byron Bay is a paradise.

'I hope the kids will appreciate how amazing it is to live in a place like this,' Elsa said.
