A heart-stopping video captures the harrowing moment a female motorbike rider skidded along the road after speeding along the Dallas highway.

Maddy Alivia, a 23-year-old from Dallas, Texas, filmed herself hurtling down a dark Dallas highway at a staggering 130mph, surpassing cars until a driver made an abrupt lane change.

The driver appeared not to notice Alivia racing up behind their car and was seen swerving into the left lane with their lights off.

As Alivia tried to dodge the vehicle, she tipped her bike and slid along her left side,  exposing her skin through her already ripped jeans to the harsh friction of the road.

After finally coming to stop, she was able to stand up but was heard crying and screaming.

'F**k me,' she repeatedly said. 'My skins are burning.'

While her skin was left red and raw from road rash, the daring biker escaped with her life, a broken phone and a damaged bike.

When emergency teams rushed to the scene and asked: 'How fast were you driving?' she answers: 'I don't know.'

'You are doing good okay,' one from the Dallas Fire Department can be heard saying. 'It definitely could be worse.'

Alivia is in tears and seen shaking her legs in the ambulance and later said she was driving 'roughly' at 70mph when she hit the car.

In the video, the dashboard of her motorcycle indicate she was speeding at least 120mph before the car made a lane change.

Alivia shared the video on her social media, which has generated more than 1.5million views and thousands of comments from social media users who expressed little sympathy.

'Can't say it enough, but this does not make me feel bad at all. Riding too fast with medium traffic and not wearing better gear, especially around the legs and feet, you kinda asked for this,' one wrote.

Another said: 'I've seen someone who slid like that after an accident and he literally doesn't have any skin and muscle on his calf, the only thing left intact under his leg  is what's in front of the bone, everything behind is just not there anymore.'

'She’s lucky she’s still alive. 100mph motorcycle crash victims don’t typically go to the hospital. They go to the morgue,' one wrote.

Many angry social media users pointed out that Alivia can be seen not wearing proper protective gear, and her Nike shoes can be seen not tied.

A number of social media users came out to defend Alivia, saying the driver did not signal the lane change and fled the scene right away.

'Did they make an unsafe lane change? Yes. Was she going 1.5 times the speed limit? Also yes. Neither party is innocent here but Maddy has defiantly gotten the short end of the stick,' one wrote.

'Regardless of her speed, they both have comparative negligence. However, under the circumstances, she can apply the last clear chance doctrine to outweigh her fault and possibly change the case outcome,' another wrote.

'The only downside is that she couldn’t get the driver’s plate number,' the social media user said.
