Everything We Know About the Kentucky Castle
Sound the royal horns! Vanderpump Rules stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are ready to tie the knot and it's only fitting the Beauty and the Beast couple's wedding venue is fit for a princess.
After about four years of dating, Taylor and Cartwright will declare "I Do," in front of family and friends, including many familiar faces for fans of the Bravo reality television show. Cartwright invited her friends to part of her bridal party with a Beauty and the Beast-inspired rose and on Saturday, the two will be married at The Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky.
"It's a staple in Kentucky, and I thought I was a princess when I was little, so my dad would drive me by the castle all the time," Cartwright told E! News. "It was just a thing that we did and I love it. I've always adored it."
Similarly to other venues, the cost of getting married at the castle varies and is dependent on the wishes of the happy couple. To rent every venue the castle has to offer, including the rooftop, greenhouse and the full east wing, for a Saturday wedding in June, it'll cost $16,500.
Individual venues on the castle grounds start at $1,575 and renting the entire castle for private use is over $30,000. Want the entire 55 acres of the property all to yourself? That requires a custom inquiry.
While it would be reasonable to assume that Taylor and Cartwright would reserve the entire castle for their big day, given their celebrity status and the fact Vanderpump Rules is currently filming, although it hasn't been confirmed. However, every room at The Kentucky Castle, which begin at $495 per night, is booked from Thursday until Sunday, according to the website.
In addition to the cost of the rental, patrons and responsible for covering the cost of servers, which runs $150 per server, security at $200 per guard and $50 for each parking attendant.
The Kentucky Castle has a broad menu of selections to choose from for feeding guests at an event. Patrons can either customize their menu or choose one of the venue's suggested ones. With three tiers of menus to choose from they range from $55 to $75 and all include a soup or salad, main dish and dessert.
It's unclear how many people Taylor and Cartwright invited to their wedding, but the ballroom seats 100 people comfortably. If the wedding is larger than that, the greenhouse can accommodate 300 people seated.
Cartwright gave her Instagram followers a very small glimpse into the details of the big day. On the table were what appeared to be at least a hundred brown gift bags that several of her friends and Taylor were helping fill with goodies.
Ahead of the big day, she told Cosmopolitan the ceremony would be elegant and focused on classic white. However, the reception will be colorful and a little more fun. As for their attendants, they'll each have 12 people standing alongside them at the altar.
