Marilyn Manson marries- off the market!
Everyone’s favorite weirdo rocker Marilyn Manson and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese were married yesterday in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, Ireland, at Castle Gurteen at the home of a friend. Despite expectations that they would "have some sort of crazy vampire wedding," the wedding was actually a "classy, stylish affair," a wedding guest told People magazine. "They are totally in love."
The ceremony took place in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, Ireland, at Castle Gurteen, the home of artist Gottfried Helnwein, who is a friend of the couple’s. They were married by art film director Alejandro Jodorowsky, a longtime friend of Marilyn’s, with music from German singer and bandleader Max Raabe.
Instead of trading blood, Marilyn (ne Brian Warner), 36, and Dita (nee Heather Sweet), 33, exchanged vows they wrote themselves and wedding bands. Hers was from William Harold Jewelers in Newport Beach, CA, where he purchased her 7-carat antique engagement ring and his was a custom-made platinum ring with onyx inlay from Dana Schneider.
Marilyn wore a John Galliano black silk taffeta tuxedo with velvet trim and a Stephen Jones hat, while Dita wore a royal purple silk taffeta Vivienne Westwood gown with a train and petticoats worn over a Mr. Pearl couture corset and a tri-corn Stephen Jones chapeau and Christian Louboutin shoes. OK, maybe that was a little beyond the ordinary.
Marilyn and Dita had been dating for almost 4 years. He proposed to her on March 22, 2004. This is the first marriage for both.
