Naomi Watts is almost unrecognizable as she poses makeup-free in aviator glasses
Naomi Watts took to Instagram on Friday to share a new snapshot with her 1.7 million followers.
The 54-year-old actress — who's filming a new period series — smiled while sitting in a makeup chair in what looked like an on-set trailer.
The Netflix star was makeup-free as she bundled up in a dark blue scarf and knitted multicolor hat as she wore aviator eyeglasses.
She had her hands full as she held a green smoothie in one hand and a paper bowl with a donut in it in the other.
Watts, who last year starred in The Watcher, joked in her caption, 'On Fridays I go both ways,' adding donut, lettuce, and smiley face emojis.

She made the emoticons into an equation as she communicated: 'donut + lettuce = happy soul.'
Naomi then added the hashtag '#balancingact' and noted, 'P.S. I made the hat!'
The British-born entertainer's short blonde locks peeked out from underneath her multicolor knit hat.
She was dressed in an all black outfit that included a chunky vertically ribbed knit sweater and slacks.
Celebrity friends dropped in the comments to show for Naomi, with Selma Blair writing, 'Totally my style too! Have a great day.'
Kerry Washington also appeared, typing, 'I feel this,' with crying laughing and heart eye emojis.
The light-hearted post comes after the movie star was seen filming season 2 of Feud in New York City last month.
The Oscar-nominated entertainer wore a big gray wig with oversized clothing and large earrings as she got into character.

The Oscar nominee will star as Barbara 'Babe' Paley, a former Vogue fashion editor who was married to CBS founder William S. Paley.
The socialite's friendship with In Cold Blood author Truman Capote is part of the focus of the new season of the FX show from creator Ryan Murphy.
Tom Hollander, 55, stars as Capote, who enjoyed spending time with New York's high society and kept a circle of stylish women around him whom he called his 'swans.'
The British actor was costumed in a double breasted gray tweed coat and a page boy cap.
The first season of Feud was based around the animosity between Hollywood stars Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.
The latest season of the anthology series was inspired by the book, Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, by Laurence Leamer.
