How to Increase Your Odds of Getting on the Show
So you’ve watched people fall in and out of love season after season on The Bachelor. You’ve seen even the people that los go on to Instagram fame and flat tummy tea sales success, and you’ve thought to yourself, “how do I get on The Bachelor. Well, there are no sure-fire ways to get chosen, but there are some things that you can do to make your application stand out!
The Bachelor application features a series of questions that are designed to help the production team get to know you. You can answer these questions online or send them in through the mail.
If you want to stand out from all the other applications, consider making a video!
“Making a video is the best way to show us your personality and ensure that you are seen by the casting team!!!” advice from the sshow’s casting website reads.
According to Insider, some of the questions on the application are as follows:
- Give us a dating history. Have you ever been in love? If no, why not, and if yes, tell us your love story! Or tell us your funny first date story!
- Describe your ultimate fantasy date! Do you have a favorite actor/actress?
- What would your hometown date be like? Where would we go and who would we meet?
- Are you genuinely looking to get married and why?
- Why would you want to find your spouse on our TV show?
- List three adjectives that would surprise people about you?
- Do you have any tattoos? If yes, where are they?
- What have you not found but would like to have in a relationship?
The main thing that you should do when answering these questions is be honest!
Former contestant, Jaimi King, spoke with News with a Twist about how to get chosen to go on the show.
“Don’t hold back,” she said of answering the questions. “I went off the handle. They asked me a question and I ran with it. I was just comfortable and honest, and open,” she said.
Other than filling out the application, you can also go to open casting calls to get chosen. If you decide to go that route, make sure to put your best foot forward.
“I definitely advise to come dressed super nice!” she said. “Don’t go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. Just come in your best style.”
She also advised Bachelor hopefuls not to be too uptight.
“Let loose,”she continued. “Have a few cocktails before the audition if it loosens you up a bit, and most of all just be yourself.”
