Utah Jazz Basketball Player Gets Haircut, Becomes Hot
What a difference a haircut makes!
Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward recently updated his look, and fans are losing their minds over it.
Until the fall of 2014, the basketball player, 26, had a moppy shag style. “[My wife Robyn Hayward] went to cosmetology school and used to cut my hair a little bit,” the Butler University alum told GQ in January. “But she started to only cut it the way she wanted so I said no we’re done with that.”
So he turned to a professional in 2015 for a cut that’s long on the top and shaved close on the sides. In January 2016, he added rugged facial hair to even out the look.
And that’s when the world took notice. “Am I the only one, or is Gordon Hayward really handsome?” one commenter wrote on Reddit, while another said, “From nerd to sexay,” and “Dude’s a babe.” One more commented, “example of how much a haircut can change someone.”
His secret weapon? “The blow-dryer is the most important thing,” he told local news outlet KSL Sports on April 4. “So after you wash it and get it wet you have to use the hairdryer, and I think some guys are afraid of it.”
The whole routine takes just six to seven minutes to style by himself or $35 when he visits barber Anthony Brown in Salt Lake City. But that doesn’t mean his teammates don’t rib him a bit. Hayward says they “just make fun of me the whole time,” for his new chop and facial hair.
Which style do you think suits Gordon best?
